June in Seoul, South Korea

Ali needed to go to her office to get a few things and asked me to come along with her.
I was happy to come along and see where she had been working since December.
What a happy and bright place it was.
Her co-workers were a very friendly bunch.
Thanks for showing me around, Ali.

Enjoy the pictures.

Legoland Discovery Center - Atlanta, GA

On August 24th, 2012 Terrie, Coral and Tucker picked me up in my hotel room close to the airport.

We were going to go to the planetarium but then found out we only had directions to it from a different La Quinta, so we went back inside to get the directions, but instead we found Legoland Discovery Center on a tourist paper.

This was our new destination and Terrie was a good driver to get us there efficiently. Phipps Plaza was a wonderful looking mall with lots of expensive stores along the hallways and expensive cars in the show areas.

We took an escalator and then an elevator to get to the top floor. While waiting for the elevator to come to our floor we got our first look at what Legoland Discovery Center would be like in a mall.

International Woodworking Fair in Atlanta, GA - August 2012

Don and Tyler took part in the IWF on Thursday and Friday while I busied myself elsewhere.
They were impressed with many machines and sales people.
I did not go in to the inner parts of the huge Georgia World Congress Center.
Here are a few photos of the first day of their show.
Don was parking the car so Tyler got his info packet

DR Day 5 - Ocean World Fun

It was my day to plan and I chose to visit Ocean World.

Once we were ready to leave it only took us a few minutes to drive over there.
We could see a large sign from VIP beach at the resort.

Everything looked so nice and clean and well organized there. With our admission we also got lunch.

First we went right to the bird show and enjoyed seeing their fun they had been taught. The announcer said things in Spanish and then in English.

After that we went inside and looked at the lunch buffet. It had a lot to choose from (I had asked if there was anything without meat and was told no) -- salad bar, potatoes, cooked vegetables and French fries, breads, fruit and little cakes.

Shortly after we finished our meal (we had another ticket that let us go back for more food within the hour - but I did not use mine) we went to watch the dolphin show. I really enjoyed this and was glad Bryn took some pictures too as I seemed to have the wrong lens on often. She got some really great pictures.

We wondered around and then went back to where the bird show had been to see the sea lion show. Everything was well done.

It was soon time for us to get ready for our dolphin encounter and that was cool. It was not the same as being right in the beach with them and having a longer time but for Rebecca and me it was what we could do better.
The dolphin, Chicco, was so gentle and obedient.
All of us really enjoyed this time.

Then it was off to the nurse shark area and then soon time to leave.

What a fun time with God's creatures.

Enjoying that great pineapple
Taken by their photographer as we were not allowed to take our cameras in this area
Bryn took this wonderful photo!! I just love it. Thanks for sharing with me, Bryn.
I have no idea
Just to remind us how really great it was

DR Day 4 - at the Resort for the first whole day and welcome party

It was nice to spend the whole day at the condo once we got our room settled.  We were put into the newer building closer to the beach, but it was not the suite we had confirmed.  So Don and Rebecca went back to talk to people and we got into the Royal Suites where we had thought we would be.
Then, because the bed situation was not the way we thought it was supposed to be either, we looked at another condo but it was further yet from the beach and an older place, but with more room.

We decided to stay in the Royal Suites and enjoy it.

It was fun to go to the food pavilion and see how it was different then the other one at the other location. I liked the choices of food better.

The beach was not too far away and it was so so blue and green.

We had a pool by our condo also and so we were set.

In the late afternoon we were given a shuttle ride to a large lawn area by the beach for a VIP welcome party.
There certainly was a lot of food and so nicely displayed too.
The entertainment was a bit too loud for us to stay too long but we did stay until some of the fireworks went off.

One way to get a ride to the resort was by helicopter.  We did not get that ride.

A flag bouquet.

The van that gave us a ride to our new condo.

The walk way to the beach... see it under the trees?

At our condo.   We shared this pool with four other buildings but hardly ever was really busy.

Right behind our condo was this villa for a family with its own private pool.

The welcome building where you check in and out.

The helicopter was quite busy some days.

I was rather warm... Rebecca was quite enjoying the heat.

Fun to spend time with my school girl.

On the stair way by our condo with the view to the opposite side from the villa.   The mountain behind Bryn is where we went for the cable car ride one day.

Another way to get a ride to and from the airport.  This was not our mode of transportation either.

Rebecca having a relaxed, carefree time.

The welcome party beginning.

Loved the colour scheme but not the few drops of rain.   Oh, it was not too bad or for too long.

The women all got a red rose when we came in.

Freshly made salad.

Trays and trays of delicious tropical fruits.

One cut onions flower before getting breaded and dunked in the oil to fry.

Our water cheers!

Beautiful rainbow of desserts and I was so happy I took a picture and did not try any.

Ready for the singing and performing.

One of the clowns that danced with the kids up front.

A shower of fireworks.

A shell man?

Clown dancing with kids on stage.

Not worried about the dancing but enjoying the evening together.  It was such a beautiful evening.

Tree decoration.
