Friday boating
Friday was the day to go out on the boat weather-wise and we sure did agree to go once asked if we wanted to.
Lunch made, sandals (brand new and feeling good) in bag, a book to read if there was down time, and we were off.
Todd was at the marina and soon the boat was brought out too. It was not long before it was in the water and we were off towards the island.
A day of fishing, sun, and sea.

I do not think he has fished in the ocean for 10 years. |
Lovely lacy clouds above. |
They all went back into the water. |
Just bobbing along. Crab nets, I think Todd said. |
Not the right kind or too small. |

Time Together
Thursday we had a lovely time with Roxanne at a park near their home. We had been to it a couple of years ago and it was nice to go back. The day was just perfect for temperature. Birds and small animals ( little alligators and squirrels) kept me busy. The greens and blues of the trees and water were just wonderful to see.
The next morning was Friday and when we were asked if we wanted to go out on the boat we sure did not waste any time saying yes, of course! R and T looked after all the details and fixed a fine lunch and we were off to go fishing.
It is fun for me to watch and see everything from the dock chairs ( last year they were painted pastel colours of yellow, pink, green and blue - and this time were all in shades of blue) to watching how they get the boat out from storage and into the water. The pelicans enjoy sitting and watching too it seems.
Soon we were out on the water and feeling the sun shining down on our really white limbs.

The large gater was not there this time |
I walked behind him a ways and he must have great eyesight |

Florida in March
It was such a treat to leave for Florida and Rox and Todd's place a couple of weeks ago.
We travelled to Seattle in the late afternoon and took a young man with us so he could fly out to Tampa the next morning too. It was nice visiting with him until the border. It was a bit of a wonder if they would let him in with a interesting story like we shared but since he had all of his papers and things in order it was not a problem in the end and only had to fill out a form for a travel visa and pay $6.
Our stay at the Hampton was excellent and breakfast was good. After a walk to Angle Lake the rest of the morning past quickly. The flights were good and all was well.
How nice to feel the warm breezes as we drove along with the windows open on the way to T and R's home.

Just out of Chilliwack - what a lovely view for a long time that evening |
Colourful shuttle van |
Pretty duck and pretty tame too |
Canada Geese sent away from the park as they make too big of a mess |
The planes kept on flying on up and out |
It was fun to find so many signs of spring in Seattle |
Glossy holly bush |
Frosty flowers in the shade |
Tampa airport - We made it! |
